Ron Leyland, president and founder of Nexagen USA, is the man behind this dynamic company. An experienced, savvy entrepreneur, Ron has created three extremely successful multi-million dollar corporations in the past decade - including the Midwest’s leading cellular phone agency, representing Verizon Wireless. Ron’s companies have consistently provided high quality products and services to the community, but most importantly, have given tens of thousands of individuals the opportunity to pursue their dreams. He considers Nexagen USA to be the crown jewel of his achievements thus far.
"It's extremely satisfying to know that we have pumped millions of dollars into our economy through the success of our distributors," notes Ron, crediting much of his success to the philosophy of "help others while helping yourself." Today Ron has the satisfaction of knowing thousands of Nexagen USA Distributors are putting this principle into action to create successful Nexagen USA Business Centers.

Ron’s diverse background includes a variety of sales management positions where he gained a vast knowledge of effective sales techniques and impactful training skills. While in the corporate world, Ron also obtained first-hand experience in developing powerful marketing strategies and solving a wide range of supply line issues.

Van Washburn
Executive Vice President

Van Washburn leads the Business Development, Marketing
and Communications efforts for Nexagen USA. Van works with the Nexagen USA
Research and Development team, as well as Nexagen USA product manufacturers to
produce leading edge products and brands for our Distributors. Van and his
talented staff of artists and copywriters are busy developing and implementing
our corporate and product branding strategies, collateral support materials,
event plans and electronic communications.
Van has been an entrepreneur for many years. In 1993, he founded ADhesion Group,
a full service ad agency and market consulting company, where he worked with
major companies such as Fed Ex, Nestle', Disney and Diebold. Van began his
marketing career in 1983, and finished his corporate experience as Corporate
Director of Advertising for ALLTEL. While at ALLTEL, he developed skill sets in
sales and product management, championing a number of important business units
for the corporation.

Brian Barczyk
Vice President - Finance, Chief Financial Officer

As Nexagen USA's Vice President of Finance & Operations, Brian Barczyk is responsible for developing and driving the company's online sales strategies, as well as leading the day-to-day operations of Nexagen's customer-facing website. Formerly the senior director of the financial services industry practice at Hyland Software, Inc., Brian led the positioning of OnBase within commercial banks, community banks and credit unions. In this role, he managed the development of specialized solutions for financial institutions that resulted in increased operational efficiencies. Brian, prior to joining Hyland Software, spent nine years at National City Corporation (NCC) improving the operational efficiencies of NCC's efforts in account reconcilement processing (ARP), image operations, item processing, retail and wholesale lockbox, positive pay and controlled disbursement accounts. His background also includes five years at Cole Vision Corporation where he oversaw the process of transitioning of treasury functions for 1,600 stores and spent several years at Deloitte & Touche as an auditor focused on developing internal operational procedures for best practice accounting of current assets. Brian graduated with honors with an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western University, concentrating in Banking and Finance, as well as earned a BS from The University of Akron in Accounting. He is a Certified Document Imaging Architech (CDIA+), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and is also an active member in ABA, BAI, AFP, NACHA and A, TAWPI.

Jeremy Bartel
Director of International Regulatory Affairs

As Director of International Regulatory Affairs, Jeremy Bartel will acts as a liaison between the company’s international team of attorneys, direct selling associations around the world and in-house departments to ensure regulatory development and compliance in all of the company’s current operations and future expansion efforts.
In the network marketing industry, integrity is a key to building a reputable organization that emerges as a global leader,” notes Bartel. “Sole dedication to this task through proactive government and trade association work will ensure that the Nexagen name is synonymous with quality products, Distributor professionalism and Company ethics, as we continue to grow.”
In addition to working closely with the Nexagen USA Corporate Management team, NexEurope Legal Staff and outside regulatory and trade associations, Jeremy also serves as a key point of contact for Distributors with regard to regulatory matters.
Jeremy previously served as the Director of Customer Development for Nexagen USA and has been with the organization since early 2006.
In his spare time, Jeremy can generally be found escaping to nature and roads less traveled, often dawning a pair of hiking boots and a backpack. Jeremy also enjoys travel, woodworking, cycling and spending time with friends and family.

James Kuty
Creative Director

Jim Kuty directs all of the varied creative aspects behind the Marketing efforts of Nexagen USA. His responsibilities include packaging design, conceptual design of all creative aspects of Nexagen USA product branding, website design and the design and production of all corporate collateral and marketing materials. Jim graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and minors in Art History and Illustration. He has won a number of local, regional and national design awards. Among these many achievements is a Best of Show at the Addy Awards - this prestigious competition administered by the American Advertising Federation is world’s largest advertising competition. Jim’s professional background includes a wealth of advertising agency experience. He has worked with clients such as American Greetings, GE, Evenflo Baby Products, National Football League, Major League Baseball, Professional Golf Association, KitchenCraft Cabinetry, WWE, Roadway, Parker-Hannifin and Babcock & Wilcox. Jim enjoys cycling and jogging in his free time, and is an avid college football fan.

Cassandra Washburn
Special Events Coordinator

A member of the Nexagen USA team since January 2003, Cassandra Washburn is responsible for coordinating the company's growing number of national and regional conferences, annual prize events, giveaway vacations and distributor incentive programs. "The part I love most about my job," explains Cassie, "is seeing everyone enjoy themselves at Nexagen USA events. It is so much fun putting faces to the familiar names and voices of Nexagen USA Distributors." Cassie's extensive knowledge of special events planning stems from her previous position as co-founder and sales/events coordinator for the Akron, Ohio-based marketing firm, ADhesion Group. She's also held related roles at the Boston Mills/Brandywine Ski Resorts in Peninsula , Ohio , where she gained valuable experience in scheduling and coordinating corporate meetings, social functions and weddings. What's more, Cassie is a former assistant director for the annual Boston Mills Artfest, a nationally recognized fine art and fine craft show that features 320 exhibiting artists and is ranked fourth in the top 10 U.S. art shows. Prior to her work with ADhesion Group and Boston Mills, Cassie attended the University of Florida , Gainesville , where she studied business and accounting, as well as interior design. Outside of the office, Cassie enjoys golfing, skiing, hiking, cooking, music and spending time with her children. A member of the Walden Golf & Country Club Social Committee and Aurora PTO, Cassie lives with her family in Aurora , Ohio.

David Crawford leads the Nexagen USA research and development team in designing and formulating its products based on scientifically verified, uniquely effective, all-natural ingredients, along with leading-edge delivery and other enhancement technologies. With more than 30 years devoted to health and wellness, David's wide range of expertise includes physical chemistry and pharmaceutical compounding, QC and analytic procedures, qualitative and quantitative trade and consumer research, manufacturing strategies, marketing (packaging, advertising, promotions), consumer research, new product development, R&D management, and personnel staffing. In addition to organizing and executing an array of clinical trials, David's talent has been applied in a variety of contexts, including the organic and natural foods business, nutritional supplements and nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products. In fact, David's specialties have been revered by a variety of high-profile firms such as Hershey Foods, Ross Nutrition, Diversitech, Burson-Marstellar, Procter & Gamble, and other leading manufacturers, government agricultural agencies, publishers, and academia. A fitness enthusiast and champion bodybuilder, David also is the independent founder of the Cancer Patient Interface, a unique cancer therapy information service which has been responsible for saving and improving hundreds of lives.

Ben Petitti
Product Development Manager

As Product Development Manager, Ben Petitti oversees new product introductions, as well as ongoing improvements of existing products and monitoring product lifecycle trends. Ben is responsible for conceptualizing new ideas, researching the new ideas, and evaluating them objectively from a market and financial standpoint. Developing new products for Nexagen U.S.A. involves idea generation, product design, detail engineering, marketing research and analysis. Therefore, Ben distinguishes the differences and uniqueness of a product from others, to make it more attractive and beneficial to a particular target market. In doing so, he differentiates a potential product from competitors’ products as well as Nexagen U.S.A.’s own product offerings. “Ben’s position really bridges the disciplines of Research and Marketing”, said Van Washburn, Executive Vice President of Nexagen USA. “To do this job properly, one must not only have a sound background in bio-chemistry, but also in project management of the marketing and business disciplines. Ben is the perfect fit for this unique set of skills.” In the capacity of Product Development Manager, Ben collaborates with Brand Managers, Legal and Regulatory Affairs to guide all stages of the development flow, from ideation through launch. Accordingly, Ben motivates, organizes and directs the internal and external departments engaged in the creation, production and placement of all products. Ben graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Pre-medicine. In his free time, Ben enjoys all sporting activities, but spends the majority of his time with company-organized soccer; rock climbing and softball.

David Shoop
Manager, Fulfillment

David Shoop brings more than 25 years of warehouse and distribution management experience to Nexagen USA . As the manager of fulfillment, he is committed to discovering innovative, cost-effective methods to performing increasingly complex warehouse and distribution functions. It's David's personal goal to contribute to the continued growth of Nexagen USA by providing the best service possible to the Nexagen USA sales team and customers. "I enjoy being part of this rapidly growing company," says David, "and interacting daily with the positive, energetic people associated with it." David's expertise is a direct result of the knowledge he gained from former positions with well-known local and national companies like Ferriot Bros, Davey Tree, Alside, Costigan's Office Supply and Corporate Express. He attended Kent State University and Ohio University, studying both political science and English. After hours, David is a musician - performing as a vocalist and bass player for more 25 years. He also enjoys golfing and driving his British sports car, a Triumph TR4a. David resides with his wife, two sons and golden retriever in Stow, Ohio .
